LDC Care is always looking for ways to improve the knowledge and skills of its care staff, and are proud of the team, ethos and principles in place.

Recruitment in the care industry often presents a challenge to recruit and retain a skilled workforce in a sector facing an increasing demand for care services. Reducing time to hire is often critical to enable quick staffing of essential roles, as is optimising onboarding processes that ensures compliance and enhanced operational efficiency from day one.

The Recruitment Team at LDC Care chose to digitise its recruitment processes to eliminate the manual driven process and excel spreadsheet reporting in place that was difficult to manage. The programme included implementing an Applicant Tracking Platform and integrating it with the company HR System and third party tools such as Right to Work Checks and Background Checking with Experian.

Prior to selecting Eploy, the team at LDC Care trialled different automated recruitment systems but none met their needs to support different work streams based on job roles, which was a key element of the automation required. What the team found was that the system initially selected based on its integration requirements wasn’t currently available and core functionality was for future enhancements.

When re-evaluating suitable recruitment platforms, LDC Care had an in-depth review of Eploy to look at all the areas required to deliver on its digital recruitment ambition.

  • Eploy enables candidates to securely e-sign documents through the Candidate portal and automates secure reference collection.
  • Eploy easily adapts with business changes and compliance and regulation requirements, which within a heavily regulated industry gives flexibility.

James added, “We have multiple workflows in Eploy that combine with third party checking and testing provider steps and our HR system in the later stages of the recruitment process. The flexibility to change our workflows and how it works for us is powerful. We have an ongoing need for support workers, with an intake every two weeks to support continued growth, so keep adverts for the roles running. Our response to high volume and time-critical recruitment was impacting our efficiency before Eploy. The reality now is that we can respond in a timely and efficient manner that is reflective of our business and aligns with candidates’ expectations.”
